Memories are worth more when shared and only when ideas and experiences are shared can they enrich others. Talent is defined as the natural ability to do something well. This year's SA Scrapbook Convention, with the combination of the talent and the memories shared, was a successful event. We would like to thank everyone for their contribution and involvement in the event: the sponsors, teachers, delegates, teacher assistants and venues. We have been thrilled and gratified with the generous feedback from the 2009 event held at Emperors Palace on 26 and 27 September and Spier Estate on 3 and 4 October.

Thanks and gratitude is extended to the six teachers and the sponsoring companies: Mike Stevens (American Crafts), Cathie Allan (Clearsnap), Laura Funk and Erin DeSpain (Glitz Design), Melissa Kennedy (Kaisercraft), Jowilna Nolte (KI Memories) and Tracie Hudson (Prima Marketing inc). The teachers were delighted, not only at the calibre of the South African scrapbook talent but at the warm receptive welcome they received from the scrapbook fraternity in South Africa. Thank you, you are true ambassadors to our beautiful country. This has gone a long way to securing us a prestigious place in the International marketplace as an event not to be overlooked in order to showcase their products and techniques in the future.

The delegates came to relax, enjoy the weekend, to spend time with friends, to learn new techniques and be introduced to new product ideas. The feedback shows that this was achieved.

We were indeed privileged to have had fabulous new products and techniques introduced at the event. The venues were great: spacious rooms, relaxed atmosphere of round tables, excellent sound and presentations, sumptuous meals and teas, prompt attention by the venue staff and of course our dedicated team of teacher assistants.

The event’s retail outlet proved to be popular, supplying and showcasing the various companies represented at the event. Delegates, local and from out of town were able to stock up with product to keep them busy for quite a while!

This was my first Scrapbook convention, and I am looking so forward to attend many more. 
The teachers and classes were great. I have learned allot more techniques and found a lot of inspiration that I can build on.  Thank you also for the availability of the Scrapbook factory shop.  In Hermanus we do not have a big variety of stock, so this was like walking in Scrapbook heaven.

I´m from Germany and I visited your Scrapbook- Convention in Johannesburg in September. I’m so filled with enthusiasm that I plan to come back next year.

I just wanted to say a very big thank you for a wonderful weekend last weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed all the lessons and the teachers were great. The whole two days were so well organized and even though exhausted I came away recharged! It was just so great to see how passionate the teachers are about their work. I really enjoyed the Aus teacher; she was just so full of energy and life. The Glitz team, and very well done to the SA teacher. I had a good time!! The goodie bags and give aways were really great, and you only wished your name could go back in the hat!! Big thank you to all the helpers as well.

Thank you thank you for a really wonderful convention.  I felt this year was one of the best ever and the organisation was world class!  Food excellent and classes and product really good.  Will definitely be there next year. Something like this is really mega to organise and you did it fabulously. WELL DONE.

Thank you very much for an event well organised. I have attended all previous conventions and I must tell you this was one of the BEST EVER!!!! All the classes were good, lots of new things were learned and the goody bags/class packs were fabulous!!! The PRIMA and Kaiser Craft classes were my personal favourites but that was just because it was my style but as said every class was special and well designed. Your idea to bring the manufacturers and not famous scrapbookers worked well, all of them presented wonderful classes with great packs.

I wanted to let you know that this year’s convention has been the best Scrapbooking convention I have been to certainly in SA.  The standards this year were much higher, the food and the organization were good, and the standard of the classes were good. Thank you for making it a good experience.

Thank you so much for a memorable experience!!  I learned so much!!  You ran the convention like a well oiled machine! Nothing was out of place - everything was superbly organized! The money I paid to attend can not compensate for what I learned and experienced!  I had a lot of fun!!  Val, thank you for all the times I could bother you with all my questions which you answered with so much patience!

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. I really enjoyed myself and learnt so many tips. Please thank everyone concerned, the teachers for their wonderful time, generosity and skill. The assistants for their help and smiles, especially under adversity!!. And last but not least everyone who worked behind the scenes. I am really looking forward to next year and have no idea how you will manage to better this year’s event.

Just a note to say thank you, to you and all the teachers and helpers what an incredible Scrapbooking Convention. Words just seem so inadequate to describe the incredible time that I had. There is nothing that anyone one could fault: the teachers were awesome, the whole organisation was incredible, the helpers amazing, the gifts amazing and the food has made me 2kgs heavier it was really gooood. Roll on next year can wait.
