Paula Cheney

Paula Cheney has been a member of the 7gypsies design team for 5 years. She designs samples for the 7gypsies catalogue and many projects that are featured in the 7gypsies trade show booth.  Paula works along side Debbie Crouse to set the stage for 7gypsies at the trade shows each year with innovative displays and design.  She is also a Ranger certified instructor.

In the gypsy spirit Paula has taught classes for 7gypsies in the US, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. She loves teaching with and talking about 7gypsies products where ever she goes, finding fellow gypsies along the way.

Paula has a fun sense of humor and a quick wit. She LOVES to travel to new places to look for old junk and is willing to pack a bag at a moment's notice. She lives on the Central Coast of California with her husband, Jay.  On an ordinary day you can find her organizing her paper supply, rearranging her furniture, and dreaming over a Pottery Barn catalog.  You can meet Paula at her blog OneLuckyDay: http://www.2gypsygirls.com/

Nic Howard

A scrapbooker for eleven years, Nic Howard lives in New Zealand with her husband Paul, and their three children.  Although residing in the total opposite end of the world, Nic finds herself involved in the scrapbooking scene in the U.S.A, her most notable acheivements include tutoring alongside the amazing staff at Big Picture Classes and working closely with several manufacturers including Prima Marketing, Tattered Angels and BasicGrey.

Nic  finds joy in the small everyday things and she has her camera ready to photograph them.  When not scrapbooking, you can find Nic socialising with friends, hanging out with family or hiding at one of the beautiful beaches NZ has to offer.

Nic's work can be found in numerous international books and magazines as well as in advertising and galleries of the manufacturers she works for.  To date Nic's largest and most fulfilling accomplishment  is the completion of a sole authored book, "That's Life, Finding Scrapbooking Inspiration in the Everyday"  It was through writing this book she learnt to appreciate the little things that make her an enthusiastic scrapbooker - and she learnt to create pages about them.

Nic's style can be described as detailed and layered.  She loves cutting, crafting and altering paper to create truly dimensional layouts.  As an experienced teacher, Nic looks forward to bringing amazing classes with fabulous sponsors to South Africa.  You can find out more about Nic on her blog  http://nichoward.typepad.com or her website www.nichoward.co.nz

Laura Funk and Ginger John

Laura Funk and Ginger John are two of the owners and creative designers at Glitz Design! We've been designing and manufacturing Scrapbooking products for 5 years now and are SO excited to come to the South Africa event and teach.

Laura and Ginger are both avid scrapbookers, whose products AND projects/layouts have been featured in publications around the world. We LOVE traveling the world meeting so many NEW scrapbooking friends while we teach fun new ways to scrapbook creatively but also quickly and efficiently- as mom's and owners of our own business we know how limited FREE time is.

We look forward to teaching our tips and tricks we've picked up on our long scrapbooking journey over the years at the SA Scrapbook Convention!

Melissa Kennedy

Melissa Kennedy is a fun loving mum of three little girls who has been scrapbooking for over ten years now.  She graduated from Kindergarten and is now “cutting and pasting” for a living.

She currently works for Kaisercraft as their Creative Director and heads up the design team there.   Whether traditional scrapbooking or Beyond the Page projects – she is in love with it all and loves getting her hands dirty and having fun. In her classes she encourages others to do the same.

Her work has been featured in both Australian and US publications and has taught at many Conventions and Expos both in Australia and overseas. Melissa taught at the SA Scrapbook Convention back in 2009 where she had an “experience  of a lifetime and one that will never be forgotten” never dreaming of being offered the opportunity again, again.

Stephanie Barnard

Everyone has their niche. For Stephanie Barnard that specialty is just being a regular everyday person who you can listen to, laugh out loud with and get to know and appreciate. She just happens to also be the official Sizzix spokesperson.

“Basically, I’m an open book,” says the down-to-earth Stephanie. “I've shared with my video audiences why I wear a beanie when I take a nap, my husband eating a 7-week-old piece of pie from my fridge and leaving church without one of my kids.”

Stephanie begins every video with the same familiar three words, "Hello, my friends!" That’s because to Stephanie everyone is an automatic friend and friends are her life. And it’s a life she doesn’t mind sharing with fellow crafters.

Her passion for crafting and her role with the Sizzix product research and development team take on the same candid approach and tireless energy -- not even letting sleep get in the way of literally dreaming up a new die line for Sizzix.

“My enthusiasm for life really shows my love for this craft.  It's what makes people relate to me and stop to share a small moment.”

No wonder why her philosophy is, “Our creations don't need to be masterpieces to the world.  Instead, they need to be a part of our own heart.”
