Rebecca Cross

REBECCA CROSS

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and business owner. I am the founder and creative director at Pink Paislee which opened for business in 2008. Pink Paislee is a scrapbook manufacturing company; everyday we design, develop and deliver products for the scrapbook and paper crafting enthusiast. Our products can be found in thousands of retail stores across the world. If you would like to learn more about our business and the products we distribute feel free to visit our website HERE.

When it comes to work I am extremely dedicated and motivated. It isn’t uncommon for me to put in 12-13 hour days to make sure everything is “happening” the way I think it should be. I often dream of the days when I can turn it over to my very own personal assistant but even then I might not be able to “LET GO.” I am a total MAC FAN and I spend many many hours with my imac, and my iphone all while listening to itunes on my ipad. {if you haven’t noticed I happen to love anything and everything that is released from the team over at Apple.}

I like to stay home and “nest” – I love to decorate my home, cook, read a good book, and take walks around the neighborhood. Over the past 5 years I have also deeply immersed myself into the world of scrapbooking and photography so I can preserve the moments I share with my family. My son is the main focus of all my photos and scrapbook creations. {Someday I will get to those honeymoon pictures too…..}

I have a long list of things I want to accomplish during my lifetime…..but for now I enjoy spending time with my “two guys” and creating anything and everything out of paper!

Amber Crowell

AMBER CROWELL

Amber Crowell is the founder and creative director of Simple Stories, an innovative new scrapbook company with a fresh and fabulous approach to scrapbooking! As a busy wife, mother, daughter, friend and passionate memory-keeper, Amber found she had far too many more photos and scrapbook products then actual completed albums.  Amber developed the Simple Stories concept as a way for all scrapbookers and hobbyists to document and share their stories in a quick, easy and beautiful way. Amber, along with her charming and supportive husband Kevin, introduced the concept and products to the wholesale scrapbook market in 2011 and has been fully embraced by scrapbookers and papercrafters everywhere who love this whole new way of preserving their most important memories!

Simply put, Amber loves creating products that help inspire others so preserve and share their memories, from developing new products, choosing color palettes, and sketching ideas, to working along side her designers to get each collection just right.  She loves the smell of freshly printed paper (who doesn’t?) and loves everything about the scrapbook industry (even the deadlines and long hours!) Amber enjoys connecting with Simple Stories customers and fans, and is inspired on a daily basis by their creativity, talent and passion.

Amber and Kevin live in the beautiful mountains in North Ogden, Utah and are parents to their three children, Katelyn (10 going on 16), Ashlyn (8) and Brock (7).  She loves spending time with her family, going to movies (popcorn and diet coke are a must), shopping and traveling (even though she hates to fly.) She also has a passion for music, reading, her new iPad, anything Disney, decorating her home and all things Pinterest. Amber feels blessed and grateful to do what she loves on a daily basis – from being a wife and mother, to a creative business owner!

AUTHENTIQUE

Team Authentique has over 30 years of combined experience in the paper craft industry. Bret and Samantha both have backgrounds in the hobby and craft industry and were contacted by former colleagues who wanted to start a new company centered around quality. Based on Bret’s experience as the former owner of My Mind’s Eye, combined with Sam's experience with training retailers in the industry, we believed people would respond to a new company with a focus on artisan quality and great merchandising. With an entrance back into the industry, we decided not to cut any corners. We love design and felt confident a fresh, new look would create some noise and grab everyone’s attention.

Authentique paper are hand crafted by a fourth-generation family-owned mill and our papers are printed to the highest quality standards by a third-generation family-owned print shop. Our die-cutting technology is unique to us, creating maximum value on our accent sheets. When others are cutting back on quality, we have emerged with premium textures and finishes. Unlike the competition, the uncoated adhesive cardstock we use ensures richer, more vibrant colors, creating better coordination with papers.

Amy Tan

AMY TAN

Born and raised in Chicago, Amy spent much of her childhood wallpapering her bedroom walls with the colorful and glamorous pages of fashion magazines. She learned how to sew her senior year of high school and what developed was her first passion: designing. Within five years, she had become an award-winning designer and founder of the popular handcrafted t-shirt line Amy Tangerine. Her collections were featured in hundreds of retail outlets, including Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and Barneys New York, and yielded impressive worldwide sales.

In 2007, her business expanded to include scrapbooking, with her fashion design work now being produced on a custom basis. Her love for sharing her clothing and now also paper crafts has taken her all over the globe and given her the opportunity to teach creative classes from Hawaii to Tennessee to Puerto Rico.

She loves traveling, leisurely bike rides and relaxing in her little Venice Beach apartment, which she shares with her boyfriend, JC, and her two Jack Russell Terriers, Buster and Bamboo. Over the past two years, she's been working on perfecting what she likes to think of as the “art of truly living,” which includes enjoying the everyday; working smarter instead of harder; globetrotting; achieving balance in daily life; and collaborating with other creative people. Her collaboration with American Crafts has been fortuitous, with her second line, Sketchbook, making its colorful splash on projects around the world.
